YOSHIO OKUYAMA - Profile, Exibition and Public Space-
PROFILE
Born on the 24th of May 1959 near Sapporo (Japan), he studied carving Buddha statues under Master Sohei Eri from 1980 to 1982. In 1986 he moved to Italy and graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara in 1991.
His hand could add something that appeared more natural than nature. He began his research into “artificial beauty” compared with” natural beauty” which has become his lifework.
In 1994 ,his work “Renaissance” was collected by the Italian Embassy in Japan and also made monuments in public offices, National parks and public spaces as well.
He works today between Carrara and Novara.
